oh my!!

meet ella's new little friend! she is such a cutie...ha ha ha... chris dressed up noah in some of his big sisters clothes last night. noah has always LOVED putting on her shoes, anytime they are lying around he will bring them to us and then sit down and wait for us to put them on him. well, last night chris took it to the next level!! it was very cute...i couldn't stop laughing..like REALLY laughing! the best part was him trying to walk in the (way too big for him) pink cowboy boots. he totally looked bull-legged (or is it bow-legged??).

bathing beauties in february?

....only in california brooke & the kids came to visit a couple days ago...they had fun riding bikes and playing in the back, eating yummy popcorn, and of course...dressing up. ella is wearing a little dance leotard that i wore back in 1983. if you remember, errin heward had the matching red/white one. i can't believe i have a daughter who is now wearing my old stuff! i remember dancing around the neighborhood in that thing! (in fact, i think that is the exact outfit i used to stuff socks down my front to be a "mommy"!) by the looks of the top photo...i think she had it on backwards!!

sac.train.museum

this week it was my turn to host our little friday playgroup. i thought it would be fun to get out and try something different. we met up at the train museum in old sac. there was lots to see. but there was also a little too much space to run around. noah kept disappearing anytime i let him get out of the stroller. i always thought those leashes that you see some parents put on their kids was cruel...i am keeping my eyes out for one of them now. that kid is FAST! here is a quick pic of noah outside the museum. the cute little hat is from one of the moms in the group. too cute!Photobucket

since ella got her new pink bike from santa...noah has kind of taken over the red radio flyer trike. he figured out how to ring the bell...and now he can't stop. Photobucket

quick craft for mom.

i want to make some of these cute blooming flowers to spruce up some of ella's clothes from last season. i was thinking of adding them to some simple t shirts to pair with jeans....or on the neckline of a baby doll dress to go with some leggings. it would be easy/darling to put on a simple headband.

loving these colors right now. tomorrow it may change.

so i have been collecting all of my wishes in a little folder and just thought i would share. chris says i am coveting...whatever. it is fun to dream and to create-even if the decorating is done on my imaginary house in the middle of nowhere...it is still exciting and enjoyable for me to think about. i am loving the orange/blue combo. i have the robin egg/sage down...i think the orange could be a fun accent. i just found a couple patterns on these pillows that are alright still looking for the perfect print. thinking about re upholstering the funky five dollar garage sale chair i stumbled upon last spring. (by the way, i just recovered it from sitting next to the garbage can for a week. i debated throwing it out...but couldn't do it. i will get it done...mark my word. by spring.) would this orange be a good color?? also wanting to make a new apron. one for me. and a matching one for ella. love the polka dot bowls. need to let santa know about those. been wanting this poster for about three years now. they also have it in yellow, grey and orange that i like alot. the red is really cute too. great idea for a birthday gift wouldn't you say???! LOVE the tile coasters, and that diaper bag is just my style. i might have to whip one of those up when we get baby #3...i said WHEN. not now...just when. grandmas-don't start thinking anything. i also love the cute bathroom mat. i was thinking under my feet as i stand day after day slaving at the sink. it would be much more fashionable to look at then the 1950 linoleum i love so much! anyways...happy imagining...it could be so cute.
i am loving this. thinking about turning our ghetto entertainment hutch into this. i would love. love. LOVE it for ella's room. but don't really have the space. hmmm. thinking about it in a future kitchen. full of table linens, cookbooks, aprons and such. or in noah's room to store all the fun kid stuff. maybe painting the inside of one door with a little chalkboard paint, the other adding a roll of butcher paper for coloring. i love the thought of closing it up and hiding the big mess at a seconds notice. ella would love that. she would be in heaven playing teacher all day long. i can't decide what to do. i told chris and he was like...that's cool.(5 min later) where would we put the t.v.? exactly. i totally want to get rid of that thing. and not buy a replacement. o.k. so blogger won't let me copy and paste the picture of this hutch i am coveting. it is a basic square shape. no glass. just plain wood. it was painted white (i was thinking of some other color options) and the accent panel and the interior were wallpapered with a blue/white damask print. (i am thinking of other options for the pattern as well). very.very.cute. i will try to get another picture of something similiar and post it. I GOT IT TO UPLOAD THE PIC!!! i just realized that it is really just a closet...with double doors.. how funny. i totally thought it was a hutch. oh well. still think it would be cute and work with what i have got.

rain day. stayed inside. loved it.

Photobucket i put noah up on his dresser to look out the window at the rain and the dogs. he loves to climb and be on top of anything. he will point and say "up" in the cutest, softest little voice. or he will point to what he wants and say..."that".

christmas morning...

maybe its maybelline...

i was on the phone with my mom a couple days ago and i looked into the family room to see ella giving noah a little makeover. they found my make and ella was literally combing the mascara wand through his hair. as i was trying to get a picture of noah's new look, ella jumped in front of the lense and very seriously said... "my name is ella and i go poo on the potty." then she posed and waited for me to take her picture. what a funny girl! i started to clean it out with a bunch of baby wipes and realized his hair was probably going to be stained this jet black for at least a couple of days. then i thought to rub some (alot) of baby oil on his head...it got the mascara out, but even after shampooing it twice in the tub, he was still a little greasy. aaaaahhh! my life trying to raise two toddlers...NEVER a dull moment!!! p.s ella got into her baby clothes that i am saving & insisted on wearing this little white dress. what you don't see is the back of noahs head (almost worse than the front) and under his chin...ella thought he needed a little on his neck, too. silly kids.
had to take a pic of noah's crazy hair after a shower with dad. we towl dried it and just let it go....he is such a cheesball. love him!
