grami and papa met us oceanside for thanksgiving. we had a great time enjoying the beach in november and the charm that this cute little town has to offer. can't wait to go back..i am thinking spring and no kids. who wants to fly out to sacramento to babysit??? mom? alyssa? grami? anyone??? anyone??

we took a break from window shopping and walked around this beautiful park. ella ran off and when i caught up with her she was just relaxing on the grass...gazing up at the sky. i guess this girl had shopped til she dropped!

back in october i decided to braid ella's hair for the first time. she was on cloud nine!! i asked her if she wanted to look in the mirror....she was BEAMING with pride at how cute she looked! she kept trying to not smile and not look at her reflection...but she just couldn't. it was the cutes thing EVER!

i put this little hat on noah one morning...i don't think he would've taken it off all day!! he loved it! he was so cute just sitting on our cozy couch watching cartoons with his sister.

more from this fall...

cute noah hanging out after we frantically removed him from the pool because he had a total blowout and his swim diaper failed...it was quite the ordeal! it was aubrey (jackson)'s pool and to see her & brooke frantically swooping up noah's little bum floaties still has me laughing. the image is engraved in my mind forever...sorry for the e coli scare...it is quite funny looking back!! who need a binky (we "lost" it at lagoon...remember?) she quickly found her thumb after returning from our utah visit in august 09. the kiddies having fun in the car chris rigged with all sorts of safety belts and such (made from my favorite giant ric rac, of course). they have so much fun being pulled and whipped around the corners by dad.

here's chris and the kids enjoying every last bit of summer. riding in their little car on the patio and enjoying ice cream sandwiches is something that seems so far away now that it is FREEZING (for cali) out.

i think we were getting ready to go to noah's 1 year check up and i was finishing up something on the computer. ellas was watching a show and noah was just playing on the floor. when i finished up whatever it was that i was doing i turned to find the little guy quietly waiting for us to go. ella thought it was so funny! she jumped into the picture and smiled at the chunky guy sleeping.

back in october

i really am so horrible at keeping up with all the pics i take. i have a lot of catching up to do. here we are at ella's friend gweneth's bday party. i am not sure why noah was so upset at his frosting overload...maybe the intensity of the purple frosting scared him a bit...i recall having a hard time washing that out of his little shirt! ella was quite the little sport when it came to t-ball, she is a much happier girl when we are outside...these winter months get a little boring playing inside with mom. i have decided to sign her up for preschool starting in january. it is 2x a week for 3 hours each day. i thinks she will LOVE it! and i know she is ready for it...her little brain will just thrive on all of the learning. she is so bright...i can't keep up with her. i am excited for her to have the structure of a classroom and a teacher to set rules and bounderies for her. it will be really good for her socially as well (sharing,following directions,waiting her turn). i met the teacher today, she will be perfect!! can't wait. i am a little sad to have her at this point...she is growing up and i can't do anything about it :(
