wet and wild

this photo is from a month ago. one sunday evening we set up the kiddie pool in our back yard. noah LOVED it! he couldn't get enough of splashing. i love how happy and loveable he is...i need to go squeeze those cheeks right now. love him!!

nature walk

a few nights ago i took the kiddies out in the double stroller for a walk. we were out for about an hour, making frequent stops along the way. ella loves to smell (pick) the flowers, watch the bees, and of course try to run away from mom every chance she gets out of the stroller. noah just loves to hang out and actually fell asleep on our way home. half way through the outing, we stopped at our neighborhood park. ella loved singing "the wheels on the bus.." as she drove the bus. noah was in heaven swinging the whole time. what a fun evening! I witnessed a terrible two tantrum when it was time to go, they must have had fun too!

lately i have had a hard time getting little one to take his naps. apparently, he has more fun eating his bumper pads than getting his zzzzzzzzzz's.

5 stitches

About a week ago, ella fell, hitting her head on the corner of a wall. After seeing the amount of blood that was coming from it, I immediately knew that we needed to take her in for stitches. I can't believe how good she did! Not one fuss while the doctors stitched her up!! And then when I took her back a few days later to get them removed...she fell asleep right before the doctor came in, and she slept through him removing them. She puts up more of a fight when I try to get her dressed and brush her teeth. Funny girl.

Snails are all over the place in our yard. Ella likes to go out and look for them. Last night she found a ton hiding in these bushes. noah just likes to hang out. Cute little chunky boy.

Ella & I play a little game where I ask her who I am talking about by giving the relationship. for example: "Ella, who is Saylor's daddy?" "Daddy Clint." today I asked her who Tyler's sister was and she said...."Handy Manny"!! The correct answer was Hannah and Mandy...She is so funny!! I was laughing so hard.

I can't believe how fast noah is growing! He has started to really LOVE eating big boy food. among his favorites are bananas, sweet potatoes and carrots. daddy thinks that because noah is his son he genetically needs more sweets! So (without moms approval) he has been introduced to frosting,ice cream,sherbet,and ginger ale. At this moment, he is working up a sweat trying to reach a toy of his sisters. Once she notices what he is doing, it will be quickly snatched from his grasp as she says "hey,no,that is Muuiiinne".

zoo

While in Utah for my Grandpa Bob's funeral, We went to the zoo with the Cockayne cousins. The kid's had a blast! Ella still talks about the "monkeys eating bugs in hair", Collin going fast with ella in the wheelchair, and of course the elephant pooping! Thanks for the fun day Grammy and Papa!
